A Pikachu is a yellow mouse, yes - with red cheeks, black-tipped ears, and a long tail. It is electric-type, and seems to be a popular mascot on television and for many products. It is number 025 in the Pokedex - and evolves to Raichu with the use of Thunderstone, a buyable product from Goldenrod City and Celadon City. They also can breed to create Pichu eggs, who is a smaller mouse Pokemon.
Many Pokemon seem to mimic the patterns of a Pikachu - such as the Raimog, or the species known as Emolga. I've many thoughts on why, but I don't if this land works on the same logic as home.
