Second Mission - Text

Many Pokemon have appeared over this month - 'twas fun to experience. But there is but one large question I've got, for today.
What have you named these species? As there is no information on these species, I'm sure many have thought of names for themselves. I have chosen names for two - but I would not be insulted if you'd chosen another name.
7th - Pantunde. I'd heard one of them let out a loud 'Pan' sound as I captured it, before it went back to the growls we've all heard. It also seemed shady, with an attitude - so I tried to combine the three names.
21th - Raimog. They look like smaller Raichu - along with the Moogle I have seen summoners bring to battle. (Moogle were species who went extient in my land - small, fluffy machinists.) These creatures, Raimog, seem to at least know Tackle.
23th - Aevis. They look a lot like baby Aevis, strong birds of Ivalice. It seems rather physically strong - like most birds of this land.
[Each date also has a picture of Ramzas' Pokemon. It took him at least a few hours to figure that out. C:]
What have you named the ones you've discovered? Have you better names for these few? A list of these names would help all of us quite a bit, while discussing our results.
Thank you.
PS: Perhaps the locations they appeared also influenced their types. Some may still be appearing - I'd enjoy to see them, as well. If only there was a Pokemon who could figure out types - who could change to the types of other creatures.
Also, how would you suggest to stop a Pokemon from clinging to you? I'm afraid Alma - one of the small flower-carrying Pokemon - may evolve to something too large to rest on my head, if she evolves.
I have also got spare Pokemon from the days I listed, along with the creatures from the 22nd.

...That, and he's excited about the technology. forever excited kawaii ramza]
I do not know any other oddities of them, however - I'd suppose they have different abilities then other species.

Especially new species, which not even the natives seem to know of.

Date: 2014-09-27 03:09 pm (UTC)[Henry turns the video away from himself -- and a Vulpix who seems to be teaching him how to use it -- over to an Inkay and Phantump, who are talking to one another happily. The Inkay is eating a berry.]
All these Pokémon have names that humans gave them, so they don't know their own. I came up with a name for the floaty squid one -- Cuttlite! He looks like a cuttlefish, and also he has all those blinky lights on him.
I don't know about Eleanor, though. I haven't thought of one for her.
video here too;
Date: 2014-09-28 05:01 am (UTC)Yes - the one psychic kitten - they first appeared at the beginning of the month - has not given a true name. If they could, it would be easier...
[But he pauses, and shakes his head.]
Cuttlite is a good name, however. I'll note it down. As for your Eleanor - I've got one of them as well. His name is Theodore, however - and seems to enjoy the flower-like Pokemon who gathered afterwards. Perhaps they share a type?
[He then shifts the camera, to... show the Phantump, resting, with four Flabebe resting on it.
The red flowered one, however, is resting on Ramza.]

Date: 2014-09-28 05:05 am (UTC)[Henry takes a moment to appreciate how precious that is. He doesn't know what most of these guys are, but he's gotten used to the feeling after spending a little while in Pokéworld.]
Hmm, I've never seen any of those and neither has Eleanor, I don't think. But I guess coming up with new species names is kind of a thing for you guys?
...I just like puns.

Many names of these species do seem like puns. I've never been good with them.
[But he's not seem them? Of course. He seemed only new.]
The flowers are also new species, from just a few days back. The ones I've gotten seem to be all female - and they've all different flowers. I've no idea why.
But I shall figure it out.

Date: 2014-09-27 03:37 pm (UTC)That's a really cool name for the gerbil-hamster thing
raimog
i've been calling it loads of other things
like hamtaro
but it keeps saying something like denki
so i figure sparky would be a good name
[text]
Date: 2014-09-28 05:03 am (UTC)But I've noticed these Pokemon do not oftentimes have simple names like 'Sparky'. Else 'twould be easy to name them all.
[text]
Date: 2014-09-28 07:37 am (UTC)yeah?
means a lot of things
but i mean like
the stuff that machines run on
through the wires and all that?
you know, electricity!
i dunno "Pikachu" seems pretty simple to me

Date: 2014-09-27 11:49 pm (UTC)[it sounds a little cooler than "irritating jangly thing."]
But I have noticed something interesting regarding types --- after some experimentation, I've noticed that the Pokemon that have been showing up in Blackthorn seem to resist dragons in some way, and those pungent pink birds that showed up in Violet could have done so because it was... er... "the city of nostalgic scents," whatever that means.
[text]
Date: 2014-09-28 05:13 am (UTC)As for the Pokemon who've appeared around Cherrygrove and the town around it - Cherrygrove is known as 'A city where you can smell small flowers and a sea breeze.'
Perhaps the smell angle explains the strange cotton-like Pokemon. But if that is the case, I must still wonder for the Pantunde, Raimog, bugs, and Aevis. Though perhaps the Aevis were coming for the bugs - and the bugs came for the smell of the flowers?
The creatures of Blackthorn, however - they're not the only ones who resist dragons. The flower Pokemon have been irritating my Dragonite, as she tries to strike them down. 'Tis interesting...
[text]
Date: 2014-09-28 07:33 pm (UTC)Anyway, it's a bit difficult to say, really. Maybe once we know more about them, their placements will make more sense, but as it stands, we can really only guess.
And... really, now? Those little flower things resist dragons, of all things? And here I was worrying about whether or not most Pokemon would just be able to squash them. Still, that has some interesting implications to it, now that I think about it.
[text]
Date: 2014-09-29 06:12 am (UTC)I wonder if the natives of this land will send us information? They'd know more then us.
It does, doesn't it? I wish to investigate that further as well - I've noted chatter about a new type on this device. If I had more Pokemon with varying moves, I'd simply test to see if they were not Grass-type, as I thought they might be. They look like simple Grass-types, however
[He hits the send button, because he's noticed something else. A few moments later...]
The cotton-like one also resists Dragon-type moves. I've never seen such a frustrated Dragonite.

Date: 2014-09-28 03:57 am (UTC)i called my mouse chuchu because he's a mouse! (^∇^)
i have one of those bug ones too
but i don't know what to call him yet (´・ω・`)
[text]
Date: 2014-09-28 05:19 am (UTC)...Are they words? Would it be rude to ask?]
Chuchu... perhaps that is where Pikachus' name comes from.
I am sure a name will come to mind - even if it is as simple as naming them after creatures of home.
[text]
Date: 2014-09-29 05:07 am (UTC)what is a pikachu? it sounds like another mouse ( ・◇・)
i'm really good at naming things so i bet i will come up with something soon! (≧ω≦)b
i like to catch bugs back home and i always think of good names for them

Date: 2014-09-28 10:42 pm (UTC)Psycats - those creepy kittens that appeared the first day. Psychic + cat. Pretty self-explanatory.
Luchawks - Lucha + Hawk. Apparently these guys look like luchadors. Whatever those are.
Dracho - Play on dragon + echo for those bats. There's definitely something a bit reptilian about them. Kinda like wyverns, now that I think about it.
Chillagmite - the living icicles. Chill + stalagmite. I suck at puns, but it's the best I could come up with.
Thought about calling the pandas Pandits, but Pantude sounds about right. The one I got keeps acting like he's the top dog. Kinda annoying, actually.
(no subject)
Date: 2014-09-29 06:24 am (UTC)Luchadors - I've no clue of them, either - perhaps they are some sort of monster in another land. The one you sent me has been acting as strong as a Monk - I've missed sparring with somebody such as that.
I'd not considered the Dracho looking like wyvern - they were only illustrated creatures, stories. But they always acted draconic - that's why I wished to have one of my own. Dragons are some of the strongest creatures in any land, after all.
I am not good with puns, either - but Chillagmite does seem like a good name. My Pantunde has been trying to act that way, but Delita (Mienshao) has been keeping it at bay, with plenty of Fake Out and other moves. It seems to be part of their nature - something to remember.
I still wonder how many of these may evolve - without concrete information, there's no clues on anything.
(no subject)
Date: 2014-09-30 12:15 am (UTC)And dragons are some of the strongest Pokémon out there. Dragonites, Hydreigons, Garchomps, Haxorus. Charizard, even if it's not actually a dragon type.
Hmm, maybe they're dark types? It'd fit with the mischievous attitudes and the color scheme. There's definitely something cocky about those guys.
But if I had to guess, I'd say most of them look like the types that'd evolve. If they're small, cute looking animals, they'll probably change. My chesnut squirrel became fatter, but he's about the only one who's changed. Kinda tough to train all them equally when I've got so many, though.
I think the other obvious picks would be those caterpillars based on every other worm-like Pokémon before.

[A pause, before.]
I've noticed Aevis have the colours of a fire-type, at least on their head. I'll be sending one your way.
